Located in the heart of beautiful Kyoto, Japan, for over 20 years Q-Games has been creating unique experiences for millions of fans around the world.

The core team is over 50 multicultural people from all different disciplines, skills, and backgrounds. The studio operates in both Japanese and English, but there are all sorts of spoken languages heard in the office!

For me the act of creating anything can be summed up as: “making changes while things appear to stay the same”. For example, take an old, traditional shop or restaurant where they have a secret sauce and the recipe is carefully handed down generation to generation. Each generation – through their day to day efforts and diligence – are in effect researching and updating the recipe, even if I cannot discern any difference when I go to eat there.

At Q-Games, I have a lot of opportunities to work with lots of amazing people. I get lots of stimulation from both inside and outside the company, and the great thing about Q-Games is that I can use that to make games. My goal is to keep using my experience and knowledge to make games that are fun to play.

    Salary will reflect the experience and knowledge you bring to the company – regardless of academic qualifications.

  • Vacation

    10 days paid vacation plus a refresh period of several weeks following the completion of a project. Vacation time increases each year.

  • Relocation Package

    Relocation assistance will be provided to every new employee moving to Kyoto.

  • Working Hours

    Core hours are 9:30-12:00 and 14:00-17:15.
    Decide yourself how to structure your day around these times.
